I’m not a huge fan of Glee and I drop in and out of watching it. I tend to be hyper critical of the show (probably it falls down so often under the weight of my dreams for it). Sometimes it’s just another episode about the never ending girl fight over whichever bland hero is deemed hottest that week. Sometimes I find shiny gems. This weekend it delivered up such a perfect, female centric musical moment that I thought I’d share it here at LB:

I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to being a Gleek (the idea that Flynn is regarded as hot boy material still seriously stretches the bounds of realism for me) but the fact that this televisual moment exists makes me very happy indeed.

I live under a rock and have therefore never watched Glee, but this! What a lovely scene.

I can't stream from where I am, but yay good new music number for when I get home! Stupid Glee keeps me watching for the gay, and those times Mercedes gets to be awesome/Mike gets to dance, and then sometimes they give me good musical numbers <3

I can't watch this b/c I'm at work, but I love Glee irrationally. Then it makes me angry. Then I love it again. Then it makes me angry ...... you get the idea. But Santana is one of the most interesting characters because she's actually been allowed to have character development, and the exploration of her sexuality is actually _ I think _ being handled well.

One of my favourite moments from this season (and, I know, Glee and mash-ups ...) is the Pretty/Unpretty duet that Quinn and Rachel performed. It was a moment, for me, and for ONCE Rachel didn't over-sing or over-emote. It's like ... they're pop songs. Calm down.

I'm ... not sure if I had a real point ... -.-

Le fu. I had this whole comment typed out that got eaten because I forgot I wasn't logged into blogger for open ID.

Sigh.

Rachel being the Bella Swan of Glee is the perfect metaphor. It bugs me week after week that she seems to have no ambition at all beyond getting Finn's attention. Even Quinn called her on it one week, but Rachel still pursues him for some reason.

Sigh.

I found the video for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-RbPVUzDlU :-)
