Date: 2013-10-05 03:24 pm (UTC)I've always been a horse fan. Black Beauty is the first book I can ever remember buying. I had the same copy for years and years with my name and age proudly written on the cover (either 6 or 8, I can't remember anymore), alas I lost it over the years, but it is still one of my all time favourite books. On account of horses!!! So I loved that aspect of this, they were like the ultimate horrifying but also exceptionally wonderful wild horses that only the very special can hope to tame. Ultimate fantasy, and yet so well done in the book. My first, and my favourite Maggie Stiefvater book.
