1. Gillian Anderson joins The Great!!

2. Enola Holmes 2 is in the works.

3. I've become kind of obsessed with the totally correct greek gods quotes Twitter because it is so spot on so often.

4. Studying History should not be only for the elite, say academics. I mean, yes, I could not agree more.

5. Have you been following Emma Newman's coverage of Operation Mallard?

6. I recently started watching the Apple TV series Mythic Quest and am enjoying it quite well. Here's an article about how they shot one episode entirely in quarentine, with help from remote cast and crew and a whole slew of Apple products.

7. There's more casting news for the upcoming Netflix Sandman, and every name I hear makes me happier. I'm particularly pleased to see Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Simone from The Good Place as Death, and that they've cast a non-binary actor to play Desire.

8. Speaking of casting, Leslie Odom, Jr. will be in the upcoming sequel to Knives Out, along with Kathryn Hahn and Janelle Monae, and I cannot. Wait.

9. Meanwhile, in less encouraging casting news, an Annenberg report on Asian and Pacific Islander representation in Hollywood film informed us that Dwayne Johnson singlehandedly represented a third of all API movie leads in the 1,300 top-grossing films from 2007 to 2019 (14 out of 44). Nothing against the Rock -- I adore the man -- but come on. Second on the list is Keanu Reeves, with 5 films, and how many white people even know that Keanu is mixed race? 10. Not a link, but: for a long time we used a layout at Lady Business that did not age well, especially on mobile. We have since turned it off, but I would really love to have a version like it back, with our branding and colors that wasn't an accessibility nightmare on mobile browsers. Problem: I do not know HTML/CSS anymore, and I definitely do not know the style system on Dreamwidth, and I am willing to throw money at this problem but don't know any Dreamwidth designers or how to find them these days. Is this you? Is this someone you know? Please tell me if so.

11. A thing I finished recently: I revived an old domain to use for political work. I suspect I will mostly use it for hosting my local political writing and updates instead of relying on third party sites. Before my content was on Patreon and Facebook and I had Feelings about the Facebook part of that. Now I have more control over formatting, too, which is nice.

12. I found this Captain Awkward column, "Multi-Level Marketing Cults & Performative Friendship", which is about how to handle a friend deep into this type of scam but is also a good read on boundaries in general. It mirrors some advice that my friend Jenny gave me once to respond to certain things: "be really boring" and expands on it a bit. It works!

13. Every Orbit Book Coming This Summer.

14. I love the sound of climate activists taking over Exxon in the morning.

15. Someone recced me this game called Cake Duel and it sounds amazing.

16. I'm nowhere near this library but I absolutely want this shirt. They sold out once, restocked, and then sold out again. I'm going to lie in wait in hopes they do a third restock. It's cool to stan libraries in other states, right?

17. BTS released their new song, Butter, and I love it. :) :) :) Also, please watch their sketch on Colbert. Beware the double bunny.
