1. Don't forget - the UK election is happening on 12th Dec and you should vote in it if you are legally able to do so.

2. I really enjoyed Jenny's interview with Anne Jamison. The whole set of Authors in Fandom interviews has been great, but I particularly liked hearing from an author who writes non-fiction, and taught, about fandom; bringing a very different perspective and background to the series.

3. Absolutely loved this meme of people responding to a therapist's questions with lyrics from Les Mis.

4. One of the best responses to the #10YearChallenge involves Dr Who, of course.

5. As part of their decade in review (how are we already doing the decade in review??), The A/V Club is writing a series of essays on the media that defined each year. For 2015, they chose The Force Awakens and Hamilton and drew some interesting comparisons between them.

6. Things that I'm excited about that are coming out nowish!
  • Promare — I'll be honest, I have no idea what's going on except that the world's on fire and it can only be fixed with pastel-neon mechs, but I watched the trailer and I'm here for it. It's by the people who did Gurren Lagann (which I loved) and Kill la Kill (which I DNFed), so this could seriously go either way.

  • Charlie's Angels — I have no intelligent commentary, I'm just really excited by how queer and action-filled this looks.

  • Knives Out — I hear this is supposed to be an Agatha Christie "Gather all the suspects in the library" mystery, but sweary? So it could be fun!

  • [twitter.com profile] roannasylver's interactive fiction Dawnfall — Queer, ace/aro-friendly space adventures? SOLD.

  • A Delicate Deception by Cat Sebastian — New Cat Sebastian! New Cat Sebastian!

  • Invisible Kingdom Volume 1 by G. Willow Wilson and Christian Ward — I didn't even know G. Willow Wilson was doing another series, which shows how much attention I pay!

7. UK readers! We have an election coming up! I know there aren't any good options, but seriously please remember to go and vote on the 12th.
