1. The 2018 Locus Recommended Reading List is out. Although it's nowhere near comprehensive, I often find this list a useful tool to prioritize my Hugo nomination reading.

2. Thanks to the amazing [twitter.com profile] readingtheend, I recently learned about this fan studies bilbiography, which is affiliated with Transformative Works and Cultures (the peer-reviewed journal sponsored by the OTW). Anyone who is interested can sign up to add articles to the collection. What a great resource!

3. Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally out! But like so many people, I haven't played all the games and don't entirely understand the ones I have played, so I went looking for summaries and explainers. I thought this one from Suggestive Gaming on YouTube was one of the best and most comprehensive without being overwhelming.

4. On Ars Technica, a piece about the rise and fall of LiveJournal. The author, Steven J. Wright, himself was not a user of the service, so it's an outsider perspective, but he interviewed several former employees, including founder Brad Fitzpatrick.

5. Finally, does the world really need an IMAX movie about working dogs narrated by Chris Evans? Of course it does, how is this even a question.

6. [personal profile] melannen has made a bookmarklet that automates posting links on Dreamwidth! It looks like you can use it as a way to pseudo-reblog stuff on Dreamwidth, so I'm going to try it out!

7. I have absolutely no idea why there's a Fast and Furious spin-off movie about Hobbs and Shaw, but from the trailer it appears to be Jason Statham and The Rock throwing down with Idris Elba and I'm very here for that???

8. Friend of the Business Claire has done a 101 video explaining how to nominate for the Hugo Awards! If you're wondering how it all works, this is a good place to start!
