These super-stylized trios of the first three starters and their evolutionary chains are so cute. I love how self-satisified Ivysaur looks and how blank-faced Charmander is.

[ART] [Black Panther] Golden Jaguar by adam_sean_arts (Black Panther)
Absolutely stellar Black Panther head shot here that mixes animal print into the costume. This piece is so vibrant. You can feel this huge amount of energy coming off the page.

[COSPLAY] [Captain Marvel] Captain Marvel cosplay by [twitter.com profile] KrystinaArielle (Captain Marvel)
A great Captain Marvel cosplay as part of #28DaysofBlackCosplay. I love how determined the cosplayer looks.

[COSPLAY] [Disney's Hercules] Calliope by [twitter.com profile] Kieraplease (Calliope)
This cosplay of Calliope, one of the muses featured in Disney's animated TV show Hercules, is appropriately fabulous, and brought back all my fond memories of the show.

[ART] [Sorcerer to the Crown] Ink protraits of characters from Sorcerer to the Crown by [twitter.com profile] charisloke (Paget Damerell, Prunella Gentlewoman, Mak Genggang)
Really lovely ink portraits of some of the character from Zen Cho's Sorcerer to the Crown. I like how the colouring kind of evokes daguerreotypes. And I'm very keen on how confident Prunella looks. Definitely check out the whole thread (especially the portrait of Zacharias, which will convince you we need a Sorcerer to the Crown TV show stat).

[COSPLAY] [Final Fantasy VII] Sephiroth by < user name="Jihatsu_kun"> (Sephiroth)
The Twitter hashtag #28DaysOfBlackCosplay is filled with gems, but this Sephiroth cosplayer is one of my favorites. He's spot-on model, and I love the attitude that comes through in his photos.

[ART] [Critical Role] Jester and the Hamster Unicorns by Tess Fowler (Jester)
A throw-away line in Episode 4 of the new Critical Role campaign produces some of the most adorable art ever. I enjoy all of Fowler's work, but her take on these new Critical Role characters is already my favorite.

[FIC] [Wonder Woman (2017)] be yourself my ally by [archiveofourown.org profile] imperfectcircle (15,531 words) (Diana/Etta Candy)
I love this story. It has Etta Candy being smart and determined and good at people, and Diana being a beloved light for two worlds – and there are politics! And so many competent women! It's like it's my birthday, this story is super charming and sweet, for all that it has serious things like "Etta dealing with an influenza epidemic" (THAT FIRST LINE THOUGH.) and "the Amazons deciding whether the world of men is worth their attention."

... Also it has kittens and fake dating, and if I can't lure at least some of you with that, then our audience is not what I thought!

What fanwork have you loved recently?

Oh I loooooove that Black Panther image. Oh gosh. That's beautiful. I would hang that up in my library except I feel it would be a bit intimidating.

And I'm bookmarking the Wonder Woman fic! I haven't read any WW fic yet but my GOD I desire more of Etta Candy. <3
