At the end of every week, we gather at Lady Business HQ to share media thoughts and chat about the recent happenings in our tiny spheres of human experience. Feel free to join in, but note our comment policy if you're new! :D
As always, puns are welcome.
Has everyone got their comforting animal gifs ready?

Date: 2016-07-24 11:38 pm (UTC)I read Original Sin, one of the Marvel summer events. It was all right; I liked the fact it was a murder mystery more than I did the superhero bits. Also, it was very weird seeing Nick Fury drawn as a white guy. Next I will probably read the run of The Winter Soldier by Ales Kot.
I'm still plucking away on kimi ni todoke and I read The Star-Touched Queen which was super lush language-wise and reminded me tons of a fairytale; it's central mystery is great, too. I highly recommend it, with the caveat for folks here tired of het romance that it's het romance, but there's tons of other stuff going on re: the main character's arc.
I'm also rereading Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur for FHH, which is super cute.
What I really want to do is go to see Ghostbusters nine more times. I keep remembering it fondly and being happy about it. I was tempted by Star Trek but I kinda want to wait for more people to see it and tell me if it's 2009-Star Trek bad or Into Darkness bad, because if it's the latter I'm gonna miss it.
(also also I wrote another 500 words on Susan birthday gift from last year that I didn't hate so many I will be able to give it to her THIS year.)
