I read 'Cinder' by Melissa Meyer and enjoyed it, nice take on Cinderella and it's doing some interesting stuff. Wtf is with a cliffhanger ending that doesn't resolve that book neatly though? I like it when the book plot is resolved and leads into the next book nicely, not a random cliffhanger that makes me feel like half the book is left.

I've been sick since Thursday :C Just off-colour type sick where I've been hit with the fatigue stick and can't concentrate or think straight. My last five days before uni and I have done *nothing* to prepare :C Mostly I've been sleeping. And otherwise I've been playing silly app games on my phone. It's sad state of affairs.

I'm ignoring the real world pretty solidly atm. I can't even.

Sorry to hear you've been sick (especially before going back to uni). I am always so impatient to stop being sick but it's important to recoup and silly app games sound like a good way to do it.

Real life is sucking hard right now but maybe you would like this post about things that happened in 2016 that were good that I saw linked on Twitter the other day: http://callmekitto.tumblr.com/post/147854055633/positive-parts-of-2016

That link is amazing and I really needed it today. I might need to try and find/make a similar list for Australia, although maybe when I'm not coughing my lungs up...

I am definitely resting - I'm just aware that being at uni by 8am tomorrow is going to *suck* so much. My sleep schedule currently is all over the place because if sickness and fatigue so yeah, that will be fun. But it's one day to get through and I don't have classes again this week till Friday. I can do that!

I've seen that series by Melissa Meyer everywhere. Would you recommend it?

*hugs* It's important to look after yourself when you're unwell. If that means sleeping and playing silly app games, I'm all for it.

I would - it's not perfect and there are minor irritations that came up for me, but overall I really liked the first one and just borrowed the second one to read. They're light enough to be readable for me atm, but engaging enough not to be pointless.

I shall add it to the wish list. (I really need to make a trip to the library sometime soon...)
