I stumbled across Bad Lip Reading’s "Bushes of Love," a riff on A New Hope, on an art livestream, and listened to it for two days straight. The voices are spot on, the references are clever (rapping the word "macrobinoculars" is not going to be not funny), and it’s actually… kind of poignant? Hey, man, we’ve all got a chicken duck woman thing waiting for us.

I am playing this little, totally obscure game called Avengers Academy. They're just now wrapping up a special Guardians of the Galaxy event, which was Too Intense for me. But I loved all the character designs so much, especially Tony's Iron Man suit that could go into SPACE and bring back sentient pink blobs and Peter's goofy attitude. This piece is super cute. :)

Ah, the art that came out before the film! I've enjoyed the last two years in MCU fandom a lot post-Winter Soldier, and although this is riffing off Civil War trailer outfits it's not spoilery. The lines and colors are perfect, tho, and I'm super into Steve's body language here. YEP.

This is excellent piece of art for the musical! If you had told me last year, "Hey, Renay, you'll be bookmarking cool fanart of a musical inspired by Alexander Hamilton!" I would have been like, "I avoided getting a minor in Colonial American history for a reason!" I'm eating my imaginary words. The colors on this are great and I love the way she shadowed the other characters in the background. Lovely.

[FIC] [Star Wars: The Force Awakens] tell me about the big bang by
I have been trying to rec this for a couple of weeks and I've been struggling to describe it. My love for "Finn becomes a person" fic is pretty well documented here, but this is pretty much my current favourite for "Finn becomes a person" stories. There's Finn trying to find a place in the rebellion, there's the rebellion trying to find a space for Finn, there's Finn being a hero and trying to not just be a person, but a good person, and misunderstandings and — I really like this fic, okay. The repetition of scenes and stories with a different emphasis makes me happy, the fact that it does different things with its structure (there are lists and letters and lists are my kryptonite), and there's little asides about Finn's time as a Stormtrooper, and it all builds together really well. I'm not sure how canonical or how much I like Poe's backstory, but this fic keeps punching me in the heart and I keep coming back.
