➝ Via [twitter.com profile] charlesatan and [twitter.com profile] booksmugglers, Hopping Through Time With Ursula K. Le Guin was a superb interview and I gushed about it all over Twitter. :D

➝ Via [twitter.com profile] jsmooth995 I read Listen To These 7 Podcasts Driven By Black Women which has several podcasts I'd never heard of before. I had no clue Franchesca Ramsey had a podcast, but Last Name Basis totally exists! So many excellent discussions are in my future!

➝ The latest episode of Fangirl Happy Hour is out, and we brought on [personal profile] owlmoose to discuss Ant-Man, or why this should have been about Hope.

Book Smugglers Publishing is having a one-year anniversary sale. This means Speculative Fiction 2014 is available for $2.99. :D

Foz Meadows is publishing two books with Angry Robot!!

The Jessica Jones teaser trailer is out from Netflix and we have a premiere date in November! I am SO EXCITED for this series. :D

➝ The big news of the last week is Patrick Ness' huge fundraiser (with author matched donations) for Save the Children and their appeal to help Syrian refugees. Here's the total as of Saturday. It's big and only getting bigger.

Tom Hardy is a gift and we should all treasure him.

➝ Meghan Whalen Turner reprinted a Gen short story on her website.

➝ The Guardian ran an incredibly crass "opinion" piece about how Terry Pratchett wasn't all that. Dude who wrote it—never even read Pratchett's books. Obviously I won't be linking to that. Instead have Sarah Rees Brennan's funny response to the whole fiasco.

➝ Anthony Horowitz suggested Idris Elba was "too street" to be Bond. Yeah, not linking to that either. Instead, it seems like a good time to look at pictures of Idris Elba being amazing.

➝ Let's stick with Elba. Watch him and Chris Pine film comedy outtakes for the Boldly Go charity video.
