At the end of every week, we gather at Lady Business HQ to share media thoughts and chat about the recent happenings in our tiny spheres of human experience. Puns welcome.

In theory, eventually this feature will have a name once we all agree on one. In the meantime, to open the festivities, a gif to sum up 2016 so far:

I do this a lot, too (media with guys) because I means I can choose media that has invisible women and not get depressed even more due to shock/awe tactics re: the ladies. You are definitely not the only one.

I may be reading The Girls soon; what's the "argh" part about? XD Should I be worried!!!

Well, my 'argh' was mostly because this is a book that feels like it is peeling off your skin with its (excellent) 'growing up female is a shit gig' commentary. But also, I am halfway in and I've reached the cult and so far there has been a detailed description of the rape of a minor. And, the female protagonist is infatuated with one of the girls in the cult and there's definitely going to be an unhappy ending there (although not clear yet whether she is bi or if it is friendship infatuation). I would say proceed with caution.
