I am so into the new character added this volume; what did you think of them? (And did you expect the massive timeskip? Because it was WAY more massive than I anticipated.)

I don't know that I expected it, exactly, but it makes sense from the perspective of aging up Hazel and Squire, and to a lesser extent Sophie. I enjoyed both of the new major characters in this book, and it'll be interesting to see how the one who stays fits in.
