I used to read there all the time, but just dropped away from reading it in the last year so this is all based on ancient internet history. They make posts like this which are both to the good and include of things that don't really jibe with me at all (princess movies - be more specific in your criticism or risk raising my ire http://guyslitwire.blogspot.com/2009/07/apology-and-course-correction.html). Their stance on covers is very much 'boys won't read it, let's rejacket it' as far as I can tell.

What I like about that site is that they often manage to write reviews of books considered interesting to boys without chucking out a whole bunch of sexist comparison stuff (like every review doesn't have to put down traditional feminine interests to show why boys might like it).

It is a knot and every strand leads back to 'must end sexism' and 'must change emphasis of entire culture'. Now if we could have some kind of practical problem solving conference about that we might be moving in the right direction.
