I actually AM reading Ship Breaker with a group of friends at the moment, only I'm the only one who hasn't finished because my copy was delivered in Manchester, where I'm not :P But I'm going to start it as soon as I get back. And yes you do need to read Tender Morsels! We'll have the best conversation ever about it. That's a very interesting point about the fact that these are men who are raped maybe making it more shocking, and one I hadn't considered before.

Ugh, so sick and tired of people pretending they're brave and lone voices of dissent for exposing "un-PC" views that are actually COMPLETELY DOMINANT and absolutely mainstream.
