If you want I can send you my copy next weekend? It's really hard to find in the UK (and even the Tor re-issues are difficult to get).

And yes Jewish history in the UK has been rocky like everywhere. I didn't know about the massacre, but I remember learning about their lives in ghettos when Jews were let into the UK after being banished from other parts of Europe (I think it might have been Spain that time).
