For a factual corrections that's fine, but to enter an argument over an interpretation is just wrong. An author just writes the book, the reader recreates it every time they read it. (obviously *just* writes is an exaggeration. Writing is hard. But readers who bother enough to offer up interpretations deserve to have a space without "authorial intent" breathing down their necks).
