1. I loved this piece by Bernadine Evaristo - 2023 Is A Breakthrough Year For Black British Women Writers. It's such a warm, generous piece and full of so many great authors to check out.
2. Loved Behind the Scenes of Barack Obama's Reading List because yes this is something I very much did not want to become disillusioned about.

7. An article on Everything Everywhere All At Once, its mainstream success, and the resulting backlash. Wonderful, beautiful, personal piece.
8. Also on EEAAO, Maya Gittelman on the frustration of Jamie Lee Curtis's Best Supporting Actress win over Stephanie Hsu. I get why the Academy honored Curtis -- essentially taking what might be their best chance to give her what amounts to a lifetime achievement award -- but I also agree with Gittelman's take here.
