I think for me, in addition to the content problems you pointed out, one of my problems with FATWS was it's pacing and how it felt like it was a movie cut into smaller bits, rather than having distinct episodes of TV. It just threw the pacing of both the show and the individual episodes off in such a way that was really unsatisfactory to me
