T. Kingfisher is so delightful — her fairytale retellings have a wry humour that's very modern and refreshing. I loved Toad Words, especially the novella "Boar and Apples;" her second short story collection (Jackalope Wives and Other Stories) is even better, believe it or not. I'm happy to hear that The Raven and the Reindeer is great, too — just started reading it!
