Lady Business

It can be easy for someone like me to forgot who much being used to secondary world fantasy helps me to feel at home right away in a book like this. But I appreciate being reminded, because I don't want to go around shouting "this is totally accessible, you'll love it" and making people feel that they're failing :P All the readerly knowledge I accumulated over the years did influence my experience with this book. A world like this immediately feels welcoming to me, but I can understand how to another reader it would be alien and disorienting.
