I'm intrigued by the fact that you two, like me, want to read Irene well. I want to read "SHERLOCKED" as a pun she just couldn't resist and, more particularly, I want to read her as two steps ahead of Sherlock. He understands control as an "either/or"; she understands it as a continuum, so the moment he asks her to beg and she doesn't miss a beat in saying 'please' is a moment where he loses. But the intent of the very vocal creators and the patterns she fits can be overwhelming. A conundrum indeed.
