The only things I can think of where "she's crossdressing" was treated like a big reveal are things where I could tell that's what was going on (or in several cases where I didn't realize that the character was crossdressing because I'm not always great at wuxia gender conventions) and it felt a little silly that the characters were making such a big deal of it.
Though several cdramas I've watched are at pains to make sure the ML finds out the FL is a woman before he has romantic feelings about her, which is kinda gross actually.
