6. This dress made from leftover Christmas paper was easily my favourite entry in the recent #metgalachallenge.
7. Cursed is an upcoming series about The Lady of the Lake, and I am cautiously optimistic. The irony of being 'cautiously optimistic' about a story based on Arthurian legend is not lost on me.
8. Sarah McCarry and Meg Clark lay out their casting proposal for a 1994 film version of The Secret History which was never made.

9. Happy Murderbot Day! In celebration of this august occasion (Tuesday, May 5th, the release date of Network Effect, the first full-length Murderbot novel), here's a virtual launch event featuring author Martha Wells in conversation with John Scalzi (who also released a very fine book recently).
10. I enjoyed this profile of feminist historian Laura Shapiro, who foces on the intersection of women and cooking.
11. Knock on Wood by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, but it changes musical genres every few seconds. I'm particularly impressed by how well the video styles match up.
12. Speaking of musical genres, I lost an entire day last week playing with this online quiz that tests your knowledge of hit songs from different decades and comparing your knowledge to other generational cohorts.
