Cassandra felt like an enormous betrayal, even though I knew ahead of time. And the letdown was entirely bullshit.
Like many groundbreakers in media, Bioware had the chutzpah to make a breakthrough and be enormously popular with that breakthrough, but has not continued that run of thoughtfully pushing the boundaries. (See also: the Star Trek franchise.) It would be nice if they recognized a need to refigure and give us more, but I’m not holding my breath.
