Date: 2017-09-07 08:58 am (UTC)Ha, I actually went and counted and in the end, I'm right around your number with new women writers (somewhere between 20 and 22)! I'm not sure how it happened (I mean, it's mostly award-nominated short stories - maybe I should tell myself to read full works by new women writers next year). But I'm very happy about it.
I really want to read A Natural History of Dragons. I feel like everyone missold it to me over time by only focusing on dragons without pointing out that there's some interesting perspective thing with the narrator looking back on her youth or something? I am so interested in that.
