For science fiction / fantasy, I'm really looking forward to:

- Her Body and Other Parts by Carmen Maria Machado, about which is said "In this electric and provocative debut, Machado bends genre to shape startling narratives that map the realities of women's lives and the violence visited upon their bodies."
- The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman, a prequel to Practical Magic which I love.
- An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard, because I loved Roses and Rot last year.
- Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust, about which is written "Frozen meets The Bloody Chamber in this feminist fantasy reimagining of the Snow White fairytale."
- The Bloodprint by Ausma Zehanat Khan, the tag line reads "The only defense against the ignorance of men is the brilliance of powerful women"!
- Golden Age and Other Stories by Naomi Novik, more stories from the world of Temeraire!
- The Brightest Fell by Seanan McGuire <3 <3
- The Stone Sky by N K Jemisin because <3
- Akata Warrior by Nnedi Okorafor <3

Other books I'm excited about:
- Periods Gone Public: Taking a Stand for Menstrual Equality by Jennifer Weiss-Wolf
- The King is Always Above the People by Daniel Alarcón "A slyly political collection of stories about immigration, broken dreams, Los Angeles gang members, Latin American families, and other tales of high stakes journeys"
- Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
- Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo
- Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward
- Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower by Brittney Cooper
- Bitch Doctrine: Essays for Dissenting Adults by Laurie Penny, I recently found this author and <3 <3
- The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare
- Miss Kopp's Midnight Confessions by Amy Stewart, I love this series

Hot damn I better get reading because I apparently am way too excited about way too many books...

What's with your subtitle?

It's a riff off an extremely obscure meme only Tom Hardy and Myspace fans will appreciate.
