You are now doomed to decades of hearing other books compared to The Secret history and finding that they do not live up to The Secret History because how could anything. Also, The Little Friend is a garbage book. I am sorry to tell you that. It just is. It is not good. Don't save it, read it now, you might as well be disappointed sooner as later.
