That was the same reaction as I had! I only picked up the next few volumes to fill out a couple of three-for-two deals, and then volume three suddenly added plot and cliffhangers.

Thank you very much - that's really kind of you to say! For me, volume four was the point where I actually started to care, which might be a bit far into the series? But it might be worth checking out of the library if yours has it.
