I liked Leviathan Wakes with Obvious Caveats, but yeah, Caliban's War was pretty good for me. I tend to rec them like: 2, 3, 1, 4, 5, LW as a prequel. Now of course I'm worried about Abaddon's Gate, but I guess it will depend on if you actually like Caliban's War. :) One bridge at a time!
The problem with The Hunger Games books is that they're all from Katniss's perspective. The films pull the story further away from her and are better for it. The books are only okay. Also I find the second half of Mockingjay (the last book) to be over the top with regards to feasibility, and have no clue how the second part is going to manage making sense of that hot mess. The films are able to do so much more than the books manage due to the first person POV. FREX I liked Mockingjay Part 1 better than I liked the entirety of the book.
They're pretty fast reads, though, and I don't regret reading them, because they nicely give more insight to Katniss in the films.
