I wonder how our different cultural backgrounds changes things. For example, I really loved the first season of Queer as Folk (US) the the UK version never gelled for me at all. I wonder if it would have been different had I seen the UK version first.

And yeah, I might try The L Word to see if it catches my attention. I guess it depends. I am also pretty worried about whether it's going to have the same problems as other media, where I just fail to get interested because of my history with F/F relationships. :(
