I am usually just like you - everything in order, no deviation. Ana is clever, because she convinced me I could read Strong Poison, Have His Carcase and Gaudy Night as a sort of linked trilogy, within the Wimsey mysteries. It's working out pretty well, but I don't think you can go wrong with reading more Sayers.
