I don't know; I'm torn on the issue. Because if that response says anything, it says that the interactions with book bloggers have been based solely on that push for review copies rather than grassroots support of her work. Since my question didn't contain any reference to review copies but that's where she ended up... I don't know if I can really punish the author for making valid assumptions about my question based on her experience with book bloggers. And she wasn't dismissive of book bloggers, she seemed to be supportive of us and not mind us requesting books (and offered to help, even!) but if you're already ARC shy it was...awkward.

Maybe in 2012 after I've had to eat ramen for a month after buying too many books I will give into digital ARCs. I seriously can't keep bringing in books to my apartment, I am going to run out of places for ME.
