Still Nameless Feature: There's Probably Hope Somewhere

At the end of every week, we gather at Lady Business HQ to share media thoughts and chat about the recent happenings in our tiny spheres of human experience. Feel free to join in, but note our comment policy if you're new! :D

As always, puns are welcome.

This week was so terrible that there are no words for it. Have a blanket fort.

a dog pulls a blue blanket off the top of a cage and wraps up in it as he climbs in and lays down

We've discussed names like Chaturday, Business Casual, The Water Trough, and Ponies Express. Clearly we can use some help and would appreciate your suggestions (feel free to vote in the comments, too)!

What should we call this adventure?

Yeah, I knew going in I wanted Black Cat and Mary Jane and didn't care about the villains. I have Madame Hydra wandering around my campus and it annoys me. :| I DON'T ACTUALLY WANT VILLAINS, TINYCO.

I need to try some Spider-verse but it's SO intimidating because there's just so much of it. ;___;

Yep that's usually what gets in my way too. But Spider-Gwen and Silk have about three TPBs out now, making it a great place to start :D Both very well received too!

So I have the Spider-Gwen: Most Wanted? trade but I feel like I need to read something before it. They do this whole catch-up sequence but because it was so far away from what I know about Peter Parker (basically just from watching Spiderman films) I got really confused. Any recommendations on earlier reading?

I haven't read any of her other appearances, but the reason I so gladly got into her own comic is because my understanding of it is she's based off an alternate universe, so there isn't really much to catch up on. And Google seems to back me up on that.

According to Internet:
Her actual origin has been skipped completely. The backstory overview is that on the high school trip, Gwen was bitten by the spider instead of Peter, then Peter was envious of the new spider-person and turned himself into the lizard, they ended up fighting, and he died.
The events of Spider-Verse happen to her before her own comic starts up, but those appearances don't get into any more detail, so they're not essential reading.

It's definitely Edge of Spider-Verse #2 as her first appearance.
Edge of Spider-Verse #2
Amazing Spider-Man Volume 3 #9 - #11
Spider-Woman Volume 5 #1
Spider-Verse Team-Up #2 (Second Story)
Amazing Spider-Man Volume 3 #12 - #15
Spider-Gwen #1 - #4

Oh btw, just watched Kung Fu Panda 3 and would highly recommend it for a fluffy good time. And I say that as someone who didn't get quite that much out of the first two.
