I do think it helps to have real world examples to match up with the theory. Explanations of why the theory does tie into practicalities helps to show everyone that the theoretical issues that people are identifying do cause problems that affect real individuals. But it's tough to put a range of examples out there when to a certain extent people don't see these problems that you identify as real problems and misidentify other areas as serious crises, because cultural conditioning affects their analysis.

If I can find the link to a study I need, I might create a short post that gives an example of what I'm talking about.
