Hello, friends! Recently, the sequel to Court of Fives by Kate Elliott, Poisoned Blade, dropped into the world. You can read it right now from your preferred book retailer or perhaps your public library. :D

To celebrate its release, we're inviting people to get in on the ground floor of the series by giving away a copy of Court of Fives. We're also going to give away a copy of Poisoned Blade to go with it because we're so excited about it. If you haven't tried this series yet, we encourage you to enter. Come suffer with the rest of us as this series tortures our emotions until the release of Buried Heart next year.

To enter, visit http://lady-business.org/#giveaway to fill out the form or click on the images below. This giveaway is open internationally. :) As always with our giveaways, there's an option to share a favorite fantasy series by a lady/non-binary/POC author as part of entering in the comments (per our comment policy). SPOILER: you can share your favorite even without entering! We don't mind!

(Okay, fine, that's not really a spoiler. We're predictable.)

Would love a copy of these - too hard to name a favourite fantasy series of all time but the Colours of Madeleine by Jaclyn Moriarty is right up there out of the books I've read this year. Thanks!

I don't know about favourite, but I just read Aliette de Bodard's The House of Shattered Wings... and accidentally got from page 150 to page 400 (the end) without having a clue what was going on around me.

I enjoyed N. K. Jemisin's The Fifth Season immensely! I'm preparing myself emotionally to read The Obelisk Gate, it's been sitting on my bookshelf waiting for the perfect moment. :D

I'm going to throw out Kazu Kibuishi's Amulet series; YA graphic novels, but absolutely gorgeous and thrilling.

Just one favourite series? My top three fantasy series (Sarah Monette's Doctrine of Labyrinths, Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings, and Maggie Stiefvater's Raven Cycle) are all by ladies. I recently fell in love with N.K. Jemisin's Inheritance Trilogy, too, and I've got a feeling it could end up on the list after another reread. And while I can't brand it as a favourite quite yet, seeing as how I'm only on book seven of twenty (!!!), I'm currently very excited about Michelle West's Averalaan books.

Favorite fantasy series by a woman: too difficult to pick just one. I just reread the Queen's Thief books by Megan Whalen Turner, which is definitely one of my favorite fantasy series. Also the Young Wizards by Diane Duane, the Essalieyan novels by Michelle West, among those popping into my mind at the moment.

I can't pick just one favorite, but a couple of fantasy series I have read and loved recently are the Age of Legends Trilogy by Kelley Armstrong and the Fairyland series by Catherynne M. Valente. Both fantastic and unique!
